Key Learning Outcomes
Learners will:
- Understand the role, qualities and contribution of a Community Champion, including responsibilities and ways to encourage participation
- Explore how volunteers engage with different communities and support inclusive participation, including communication methods and community strengths
- Strengthen communication skills and learn constructive approaches to resolving conflict in community settings
- Understand how teamwork and collaboration support positive community engagement and healthy volunteer relationships
- Develop awareness of equity, diversity and inclusion and learn practical steps to reduce barriers to participation
- Recognise how clear volunteer roles, expectations and reflective practice support safe, effective and sustainable community involvement
